Throughout each person's life certain things happen that are either unexpected or seemingly out of reach. When the unexpected happens or success is attained, it is a very special time indeed. For those who have endured cancer, it is even more so. Many of those moments are photographed and cherished forever. Those occurances we know about and have pictures of will be placed on these pages. If your picture is here, congratulations from us all. Just more proof that cancer may well be just a pothole in the road of life. |
On every page except the discussion page and the remembrance page there is a beating heart in the upper right corner. On the remembrance page the heart does not beat. |
Nancy is a very active member of our group who fought very hard and successfully to get through her cancer and return to what she loves so much, the teaching of her first grade students. She was understandably thrilled and honored when not only her school, but her classroom was singled out by a visitor. |

When the former First Lady and now Senator entered Nancy's classroom we can only speculate as to what took place to create this picture. On the surface it appears as if one of Nancy's students quizzed their visitor about what they had learned. Nancy took great pride in this visit as well she should have. To look at these two ladies and say one has had cancer, it would be very difficult for an outsider to believe. One more thing, Nancy, we're all happy for you that it wasn't a "snow day!" |
For some winning the battle with cancer is reward enough. For others it's but a beginning to accept challenges beyond many of our thoughts, then to succeed. Chuck is one who did just that, and succeed he did. Not only as this photo shows finishing a marathon, Chuck devotes a great deal of his time in many varied ways to help others. Not necessarily those who have suffered a disease, rather anyone in any way, and he keeps quite busy doing it. Keep up the good work, Chuck. We're proud to know you! |

Annie's Mike at Delta Raceway in Delta, OH. While Mike doesn't write here, his wife was a very active participant. She sent this photo to us, he did so well at this race he got bumped up a class. While going through cancer treatments it's hard to imagine we'll ever be strong enough again to do this type of thing. We'll just keep on dazzling you visitors with what we really can do. To paraphrase Satchell Paige, "Don't look back, that may be a Cancer Survivor gaining on you!" |
