In 1994 a scene of the sun rising was adopted as the signet of our Survivors group. The purpose is quite simple, though there may be those that wonder why. When one looks at the scene, is the sun rising or setting? As we are all individuals, that question may be answered in contrary ways by different people. Bill Cosby once gave the answer as to whether a glass was half full or half empty. "It depends," he said, "on whether you are pouring or drinking." Regardless, we as a group most often consider the sun as rising. It's the evidence of another day of life being born, another day we are most fortunate to have. We are alive, in more ways than one. The rising sun is our constant reminder.

There may be questions about the deep blue background on the logo or on this page. There is a significance, that being the deep blue of both the sky and the oceans. They being parts of our lives we may not fully understand, as well as the disease that prompted this page. The deep blue shall live on, not as a mood but as an inspiration... an inspiration to again see them both in all their splendor... in their natural state... it means we have a reason to be. This in the opinion of one....
